*Visual Interactive Simulation Object Renderer, formerly known as Theia*

**VISOR is now publicly available as an open-source library for adding interactive 3D** **visualisation** **to engineering applications.**

We are pleased to announce the open-source release of the Visual Interactive Simulation Object Renderer (VISOR), formerly known as Theia. VISOR is a reusable, browser-based component for displaying and interacting with 3D simulation data.

Making VISOR openly available will allow customers, partners and development teams to adopt the viewer more easily, integrate it into their own engineering applications and contribute improvements.

VISOR is available through a public repository and Python package, with supporting documentation and an example showing its use with the Solution Application Framework (SAF).

**Why** **this matters**

- Reuse a common 3D viewer instead of developing application-specific visualisation components.

- Integrate interactive visualisation into Python-based and web-based engineering workflows.

- Support wider adoption and contribution through an open-source model.

**Get started**

Explore the VISOR repository, install the public package and review the documentation. Feedback, use cases and contributions are welcome.

*Thank you to the VISOR team and everyone who supported the open-source release.*
