## Model.create\_tube\_selection\_rule(name, id=None, outer\_radius=1.0, inner\_radius=0.0, include\_rule\_type=True, edge\_set=None, extend\_endings=False, symmetrical\_extension=True, head=(0.0, 0.0, 0.0), head\_extension=0.0, tail\_extension=0.0)

Create a new tube selection rule.

### Parameters

- name: Name of the rule.
- outer\_radius: The outer radius of the tube.
- inner\_radius: The inner radius of the tube.
- include\_rule\_type: Include or exclude area in rule.
- edge\_set: Edge set for the rule.
- extend\_endings: Whether to extend the endings of the tube.
- symmetrical\_extension: If enabled, then the length of the extensions will be equal on both sides.
- head: The free end which is closer to this point becomes the head of the tube. It is only necessary if symmetrical\_extension is disabled.
- head\_extension: Defines the length of the extension at the head of the tube. If symmetrical\_extension is enabled, it defines both sides.
- tail\_extension: Defines the length of the extension at the tail of the tube if symmetrical\_extension is disabled.

The created rule.
