## ModelingGroup.export\_ply\_geometries(filename, ply\_level='production\_ply', boundary=True, surface=True, offset\_type='middle\_offset', direction\_arrows=False, first\_direction=True, second\_direction=False, arrow\_length=1.0, arrow\_type='no\_arrow')

Exports the surface, boundary, and/or fiber directions of modeling, production, and analysis ply to .igs or .step file.

### Parameters

- filename: File path (available extensions are .iges, .igs, .step, and .stp).
- ply\_level: Defines which plies are exported: modeling\_ply\_wise, production\_ply\_wise or analysis\_ply\_wise. Default is production\_ply\_wise.
- boundary: Boolean whether to export the boundary (default: ‘True’).
- surface: Boolean whether to export the ply surface (default: ‘True’).
- offset\_type: Offset type. Available options: no\_offset, middle\_offset (default), top\_offset, and bottom\_offset.
- direction\_arrows: Boolean whether to export the direction arrows. Default is False.
- first\_direction: Boolean whether to export the first (main) material direction (default: ‘True’).
- second\_direction: Boolean whether to export the second material direction (default: ‘False’).
- arrow\_length: Length of the arrows (default: ‘1’).
- arrow\_type: Defines the arrow type. Available options: standard\_arrow, no\_arrow (default), and half\_arrow.
