## Creating new Ansys app versions

**Caution**

You can only have a maximum of 6 app versions. When the limit is reached, you have to **delete one of the app versions** before adding a new one. The *Current version* is selected based on the date of creation. This ensures that the latest published version is set as the "Current version". Only the *Current version* of app is visible to users, while *Previous versions* only appear as downloadable or buyable licenses in the *Versions* section.

1\. Click [My account](/user).

2\. Select the *Publisher Apps* tab. Here, find the app with the version you want to edit, then click the *Manage app versions* icon.

3\. Click *Add new version.*

**Good to know**

When you create a new version of your app, almost all fields will be pre-filled based on the current version. You can change every field except the *App name* field. You can fill the *App version* field with the new version number of the app.

4\. Edit the fields as needed. You can find details about the edit forms and their different fields in the [Creating Ansys apps](/docs/creating-ansys-apps) document.

5\. At the bottom of the page, click *Save.*
