 # createTradeStudy

public [createTradeStudy](create-trade-study.md)(idStr: [String](https://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/docs/api/java/lang/String.html)): [TradeStudy](./../-trade-study/index.md)

Creates the specified trade study and returns a handle to it. Unlike for launchTradeStudy method, the trade study is not shown before object is returned. Does not currently support Java plug-ins.
