Before getting started with OpenTD, ensure that you meet the following prerequisites and technical requirements.

## Technical requirements

- .NET Framework version: OpenTD targets .NET Framework 4.8. It does not work with .NET Core or .NET Standard. You must target the .NET Framework.
- AutoCAD version: OpenTD requires AutoCAD 2018 or later.
